Did Mary Sue love her dog more than her children and grandkids?

I think giving her a pass is the most considerate thing to do now ... we don't have all the facts about her private life and we are no longer in a cult so should probably be busy minding our own business instead of trying to mind everybody else's or gratuitously smearing people who have now died.

I would be saddened to see this board turned into a bitching and whining board, that really isn't what ESMB has ever been about and feels very tacky ... so thanks for trying to put a stop to it Sheila.

;)
Thank you for stating this, I could not agree more. :rose:

I was pleased to learn so much new, positive information about Mary Sue. She seems to have been LRH's opposite when it comes to caring about her children and grandchildren. Some people seem to be very "creative" (they make shit up and state it as fact) when it comes to relating creative negative things about her history.

Thanks to Jeffrey Augustine and Guy White for giving us a more objective history of Mary Sue. Jeffrey says it will continue, Guy White willing, I hope it does.

So, in additon to the Potters, a cook and a housekeeper. Spoiled, spoiled...
You have already had it explained to you that MSH was dying of cancer. You have already been informed that Guy White was actively prevented from seeing Mary Sue by Church of Scientology staff. So was her friend, Katie Howson. Mary Sue was isolated and clearly too sick to do anything about it. She was under Church of Scientology control.

I don’t personally like malicious gossip and lies and those that spread it. It must be awful for you to live that way, with a mind that always believes the worst of others, always focused on negativity, judging and picking away at others while revealing nothing about yourself and your own flaws and shortcomings. You persist in spreading baseless suspicions and will not accept facts and documentation when they are given to you.

Nobody here knows you, and I hope others report your posts for the vicious, unfounded slander they promote.

Here is something else I know firsthand about Mary Sue Hubbard:

In 1978, I was sent on a Sea Org mission to move the Sea Org children and Child Estates Org (CEO) from the horrible, roach infested, rundown Melrose building to the Fountain Building next to the parking structure of the LA complex. The Fountain Blg was a very poor choice and in the next few years, became just as bad.

As a Missionaire, part of my briefing was to see previous documentation of earlier missions fired and read the evaluations.

In response to the reports by others about the Melrose, Mary Sue Hubbard had ordered suitable accommodation be found for the children and fired an earlier CMO mission to research and buy a good building for them.

Three wonderful buildings were found by the mission and sent to L Ron Hubbard for approval. Everyone was excited!

L Ron Hubbard disapproved all of them. No explanation was given and there was no reason for the disapproval, either. :mad:The children had nowhere to go! In desperation, the CMO rented the Fountain building (which was later purchased) as a temporary measure until L Ron would approve something. The kids were there about three years and it was a dark, cramped, terrible place. The kids never got their own building. They were later housed in the Celebrity Center annex and years later, sent away from their parents to a ranch.

Mary Sue tried.

In the interview with Jeffrey Augustine, Guy White says 4 people lived with Mary Sue: the Potters, a cook and a housekeeper. This would probably be considered as good of duty as you could get in the Sea Org. It would have been a nice place for the Potters to live by themselves until the dog died.
Where did Mary Sue Hubbard get that money to pay for all of that? From us - we paid for the lavish lifestyle the higher ups live.
"What your donations buy".
We, the dreaded SP's paid for her house, her dog and her care.
If she had any money to give her kids, we paid for it.

We paid for the horses that Pat Broeker owned...the ranch he lived at.
We paid for David Miscavige's lavish lifestyle. His unlimited funds to sue and harrass critics.
We paid for it all.

What did we get in exchange?

We got betrayal.

Perhaps not. Then again, at least my memory is better than yours. I'm glad to hear you now remember Tony's story and you already knew the answer to what you had asked. Here it is for you:

Mary Sue loved her children. How she fared at the end of her life (dementia, possibly) does not determine how she felt about them while she was raising them or afterward. Lots of elderly people don't think clearly in their final years.

Btw, the correct grammatical phrase is "well informed," not "good informed." :coolwink:
You have well grammar. :D

On the Apollo, if you wanted something connected with family, children, spouse, you petitioned Mary Sue. 99.9% of the time petitions were granted, including short leaves to go to marriages, births and deaths of close family members.

MSH believed in the family unit.

Is that Mary Sue posing in front of the house where LRH lived with Sara, his second wife?

The "LRH house" at Bay Head NJ, owned as a historic site by Scientology, this is the likely place that LRH wrote Dianetics with Sara's help and where they were living when their daughter Alexis was born, it looks like the house in the photo with Mary Sue and may be LRH's attempt to try and make his second wife not exist:

Sara, Alexis and LRH posing in front of the house across the street (based on google street view) from the one above:

Also recall that Mary Sue wrote the pamphlet, "Marriage Hats".

Where it came to family, LRH only talked the talk, while Mary Sue walked the walk.

All should remember that she also took the fall for LRH in the Snow White case, and did prison time for the coward.

In the end, he himself was what he termed, an "Only One".

LRH owed Mary Sue a lot for going to prison instead of making a plea deal implicating him to avoid a prison sentence for herself.

Did he try to do anything to pay her back? Did he have anything to do with Scientology giving her the house? Or was it Miscavige just trying to keep her quiet?

Who's to say? I would suspect it was arranged by Miscavige, since Hubbard was on his way out the door, and the problem of what to do with Mary Sue would soon be Dave's problem.

Hubbard may have suggested it to Dave, but it was Dave who executed it.

Buying her a house and supplying her with a few servants and a monthly stipend, was all too simple a solution, to keep her quiet and out of his hair.
