Actor Tom Cruise reportedly turned down a Kennedy Center Award from President Donald Trump.

The Mission Impossible star, 63, was offered the award but declined due to 'scheduling conflicts,' according to The Washington Post.

Anonymous Kennedy Center employees told the outlet of the actor's move to shun Trump, with the president said to have been actively involved in picking him.

The president instead unveiled Sylvester Stallone, rock band KISS, Michael Crawford, Gloria Gaynor, and George Strait as being bestowed with honors.

Cruise, a member of the Church of Scientology, is known to shy away from politics, opting to use his high profile to support the military, veterans and his religion.

Instead of the Kennedy Center revealing the names through a press release as usual, Trump announced the honorees himself.

While unveiling the recipients at the Kennedy Center's Hall of Nations, Trump said he was 'very involved' in picking them.

He also said that he would hosting the event later this year, in his first term he didn't even attend the ceremony.

This strikes me as odd, being that there is no group that is more solidly pro-Trump than Scientologists, both in and out of the organization. I'm curious about what's behind it.

One might imagine that "Mr. Cruise" is overly cautious about triggering a wave of "bad PR" by any gesture or even participation in an award sourced within the world of Donald Trump. Certainly, Cruise would have many PR engrams "traced on his cells" from supporting the nefarious and widely feared/hated cult of Scientology.

And, the miraculously messianic moviestar could well also reason that to show any Trumpian connection, no matter how remote, might trigger and alienate a broad spectrum of fanatical woke activists and TDS-afflicted voters who also go to the movies.

A safe move, perhaps. But then again Cruise wildly supports the sadistically sociopathic and pathologically lying con artists, charlatans and grifting gurus "DR"Hubbard & "MINISTER" Miscavige. Ergo, I think it fair to assume that Cruise's judgment when it comes to picking leaders is already frightfully unhinged.

On the other hand, if Trump made some back-room deal that was highly favorable to Scientology or Miscavige, there is no doubt in my mind that Cruise would very happily show up at the Kennedy Center to receive his award. And his acceptance speech would have certainly included this gushing praise of President Trump:

"I have never met a more competent, a more intelligent,
a more tolerant, a more compassionate being.

And I've met the leaders of leaders".
Somehow this is very reminiscent of Mr. Cruise's previous incarnation when he was Neville Chamberlain, England's prime minister. During that lifetime Chamberlain (Tom) returned from his momentous 1938 meeting with Adolf Hitler and jubilantly announced that he had a piece of paper where Herr Hitler signed a promise, whereupon Chamberlain proclaimed that he had brought "PEACE FOR OUR TIME!"

Fast forward to this lifetime where Cruise met with Miscavige and jubilantly announced to the world that he had brought "PCs FOR OUR TIME!"

I have seen some conflicting information on this point in recent months that has surprised me. I don't recall the source of it for sure, though. :duh: (Maybe someone else in this thread would know.)

It might have been from one of the Joy Villa videos. CoS was heavily discouraging her from her political activism while she was conservative and a big Trump supporter.

Just speculating, that's all, but being that he has a new victim, I mean romantic interest, maybe this is something between them. The timing suggests the possibility, could even be that he wants to show her how he's so big, he's above a sitting president, or that having private time with her outranks such a thing because he's so over the arcturian moon for her.

He appears to like hobnobbing with British Royalty more than associating with Americans.

But agree, he thinks it might be a career minefield to accept an award from President Trump.....at the Kennedy Center.
