Yesterday, we learned some reasons why new Linkin Park singer Emily Armstrong may be keeping quiet about her Scientology upbringing.
Her mother Gail Armstrong, it turns out, is not only a Sea Org lifer, but someone who has worked in the highest echelons of Scientology, and directly with its ultimate leader, David Miscavige.
Mike Rinder told us about how Gail was one of Dave’s speechwriters until she fell out of favor and was thrown in “The Hole” at Int Base, where Mike himself was also a prisoner.
Later, in 2015, Gail Armstrong was one of several of Mike’s former co-workers who denounced him in videos at Scientology websites because he had taken part in Alex Gibney’s documentary Going Clear. So yes, the fact that Emily Anderson’s own mother has taken part in a classic Scientology “Fair Game” campaign of someone like Rinder would tend to explain why Emily is reluctant to discuss Scientology at all.
