Anne Gollart Hill escapes Scientology

Okay, just when I THOUGHT I knew a lot about Scientology…someone comes along and lifts the lid on a whole other level. My guest Anne Gollert Hill spent 20 years inside Scientology, including years in the Sea Org, and she is taking me behind the curtain of what her life was REALLY like. We’re talking about how she was barely sleeping, working seven days a week for almost no money, being punished for showing emotion…and that’s only the beginning. But what floored me was HOW she got pulled in. Anne was grieving, vulnerable and looking for answers. Then someone came along at exactly the right moment and offered her something that actually made her feel better. And just like that, the door opened.

The way she explains how slowly you can lose trust in your own instincts will make you understand cults in a completely different way. Then we get into leader David Miscavige, the inner workings of Scientology and its celebrity world…and suddenly I’m telling Anne stories from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding that I haven’t thought about in YEARS (including one moment when I watched the entire room FREEZE!, wait for that). But Anne’s escape is the part I can’t stop thinking about. After decades inside, she went home to see her family and had this realization: she had forgotten what it felt like to simply be LOVED. That feeling eventually helped crack something open. Not long after, Anne walked out with the clothes on her back and a purse with basically no money, and what happened AFTER she left is freaking riveting. This one goes places, guys. Buckle up.

Jenny McCarthy attended Tom Cruise’s wedding
Entire wedding party sneered at her when she asked if she could hold the baby

I was pretty sure I could not listen to another ex-Scientologist talking about the same things on yet another video.

But, I thought i try it for a few minutes just to get the flavor.

Then I ended up listening to the whole thing. It was fresh energy and some outstanding perspectives from someone who had not only lived the life (of a SO member) but walked the walk, talked the talk and finally blew .....only to discover that her life was in a full and utter REBOOT. It ain't easy. It made me reflect on my own re-boot ages ago.

This is a very good interview and it brought out unique perspectives and dramatic comparisons between life IN and OUT of Scientology.

And Jenny McCarthy did a terrific job!

Glad I saw it.

I am still trying to figure out why the celebration came to a standstill when she asked to hold the baby. What she said was the the baby was viewed by SO fanatics as the reincarnate L. Ron Hubbard. I am confused because i thought that was supposed to be a joke. But then i paused and thought: "WAIT, THAT IS SO INSANE IT'S ACTUALLY POSSIBLE!"

If I had been at the wedding i would have gone to my car and retrieved a fully charged e-meter. Then i'd have marched straight back inside the wedding celebration and (without any Q & A) I would have put Suri Cruise on the cans---and i would have found out right then with no com lag or uncertainty weather Suri was the new commodore and savior of the universe.

People reading this may think I am joking & degrading and that I am just making this up. But I can assure you that I always carry a complete set of various sized soup cans wherever I go. And I even keep micro-sized soup cans the size of a 35mm film cannister for auditing newborns.

In my experience, when it comes to determining whether a newborn infant in Scientology IS or IS NOT Ron, it's my policy to expedite this verification cycle and not let Scientolgists get into heated fights about it. It's also necessary to determine the answer so that a tiny newborn-sized naval uniform can be custom made for the baby. This eliminates confusion when the baby is brought into the org, so that Sea Org members know whether to salute or not when the baby is carried into different rooms inside the org.

Here is a KOAN from an upper level many echelons above OT VIII.

WHO IS MORE GULLIBLE?

1. The INDEPENDENT Scientologists who believe that the sociopathically lying con man
Justin Alan Craig
* is the reincarnated being formerly known as L. Ron Hubbard?

2. The COS Scientologists who believe that the sociopathically lying con man
L. Ron Hubbard has magical god-like supernatural powers that enabled
him to discover advanced technology that could free all beings in
the universe for the first time in quadrillions of years.

*chatGPT: The man who claims to be the reincarnation of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard is Justin Alan Craig, who legally changed his name to Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (also known as "LRH 2.0").
  • Background: Craig is a California ex-convict and former gang member who moved to Washington State and began claiming around 2018 that he was the returned founder of Scientology.
  • The "Independents" Scam: He gathered a small following of independent, off-brand Scientologists and ex-church members by offering his own version of auditing sessions and asking for large sums of money.
  • Legal Troubles: Craig has been held in custody in Anderson County, Tennessee, facing serious charges including drug offenses and assaulting individuals, including jail guards.

My bet - Tom Cruise had several Sea Org Registrars there ready and able to route on all guests into courses and auditing $ervices at the infamous $ell-Ebb-try Center….I love that social media has picked up the story and is splashing it across the globe. :giggle:

I felt the same way… surprisingly ….I listened to the whole thing too. Jenny did a great job.

I loved how disgusted Anne was about how she realized that Scientology tech dupes members into believing everything bad that happens to you is their fault…and how that led to the straw that broke the thetans back... which led to her escape.

I think disgust is at the top of the "healing from a cult " scale.

My bet - Tom Cruise had several Sea Org Registrars there ready and able to route on all guests into courses and auditing $ervices at the infamous $ell-Ebb-try Center….He thought having DM as his best man who gave a 30 minute speech would get those that attended clamoring to join.

What Tom Cruise actually did was cause the BIGGEST FLAP on the planet by pissing off Leah Remini..... and that harmed David Miscavige and Scientology far more than any good Tom Cruise did to help Scientology...

In fact, I believe Tom Cruise has done the most damage to the cult more than anyone else

He should have been declared SP.

Me too!

Blood curdling passage about David Miscavige at 46:33:

Jenny McCarthy: Of course, he he's very demonic.
Anne: Oh, he really is horrible.
Jenny McCarthy: It, he really is like, there aren't many demonic people that I've met in person.
Anne: Well, you met him, so you know.
Jenny McCarthy: That's, that's what I mean. Like he was the one that I went, there's an actual demon in him.

Never heard it said so plainly by an outsider to scientology.

To be fair, "gullible" has pejorative connotations. "Susceptible" is a cleaner description, and nearly all of us here have been, until hitting our breaking point. Having been through it, we find it highly distasteful and reprehensible to see it supported, but only after having been there ourselves. Those of us having taken that passage did so because something in how it was presented resonated with our needs or desires well enough to draw us in. My point being, it doesn't support or justify speaking condescendingly of the current cult participants and it would require that we see ourselves as being or having been that way. That being said, it is a fascinating subject that we could be drawn into so deeply investing ourselves in something so objectively insidious, and it inspires a socially conscious drive to inform and warn others.

I think Tom Cruise is a douchebag in and out of Scientology…. Frankly, I expect more out of members to leave Scientology as soon as they witness crimes and abuse … no matter what.

Tom has witnessed a lot and took on David Miscavage’s valance apparently according to people that work for him

Nobody makes me cringe more than Tom Cruise. He is endlessly obnoxious. You can gauge anybody's investment in a shell of false beliefs and abdication of recognition of their own feelings by how intolerant they are of the existence of other perspectives.

I love that working title for her book, "Joy Without Apology", that says so much. (y)

AFAICT, such persons are very small in number compared to the rest of Indies or Freezoners who do NOT believe that.

I've looked up the involvement as best I could, I'd estimate they number 35-50 people. A faction within the Scientology-related faction that is the Freezone Whatever he came up with does have some kind of noticeable effect. But it seems that one has to be a Scientologist who isn't bumped by his extremely criminal and violent history to buy in and take that effect to be some kind of wonderful spiritual transformation. I guess you could say they're preconditioned.:)

Yes, very small in number! Which is why I would (once again) like to offer my professional
consulting services to Indie and Freezone body routers--in order to help them 10X their stats.

We will not speculate here on how he rose above the need to adhere to wog law. We are dealing only in facts, and clearly the prosecutors lacked sufficient spiritual development and were unable to recognize that they were suppressing Mankind's Greatest Friend.
