Underground Bunker Thread

From The Kansas City Star:

On Sunday the church advertised an open house to the public. But church staff refused entry to a Star reporter.

Bari Berger, a church spokeswoman, declined to respond to questions in person and asked that questions about the building and its opening be sent in an email.

“This weekend’s event was a special dedication ceremony for our members and their guests,” Berger said in an email to The Star.

“We requested that media make any tour requests in advance so these could be scheduled to accommodate other events and activities taking place in the church,” she said.

SCIENTOLOGY IN KANSAS CITY

The church’s presence in Kansas City has previously been visible at a storefront at 39th and Main streets. That building is being sold, Berger said.

Tony Ortega, a journalist formerly based in Kansas City who writes an anti-Scientology blog called The Underground Bunker, said the church was not expanding but rather was replacing existing facilities in the city.

Ortega said the opening ceremonies in Kansas City were meant to impress church leader David Miscavige’s wealthy donors.

“It is really a public relations program for Miscavige to convince his wealthy donors that he is doing the right thing,” Ortega said.

Ortega said such new locations, when opened elsewhere, have seen activities reduced significantly after initially opening to great fanfare.

Berger, the church spokeswoman, disagreed with that. She said the church has opened more than 70 locations in recent years, and all are “open and flourishing.”

Making Kansas City GREATER!

Maybe the current mayor had enough sense not to appear and promote Scientology:

“In the end, it’s all about partnerships. No single agency can do everything. What ties those of us who live and work together is we know Kansas City is great and has the potential to become even greater. Planting your new Church here says to others: ‘Hey, there’s something going on in Kansas City—maybe we should be a part of that too.’ Thank you for investing in our future, and thank you for pouring your heart into the future of this American heartland. Welcome to the neighborhood.” — SCOTT WAGNER, MAYOR PRO TEM OF KANSAS CITY (2015-2019)

I've noticed that, too. He looks really frail and unhealthy. He also seems to have lost that confident, cocky glint in his eye. He looks haunted now.
That would be my take. Agreed.

There is a certain look in his eyes as well, in many pics. Alcohol?

This post is regarding the new Law suit filed today on David Miscavige and The Church of Scientology International, the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization (FSO), the Religious Technology Center, and the private school Clearwater Academy.

The cult has a cookie cutter response to any Law Suit.

It runs like this

DELAY AND BLOCK, DELAY AND BLOCK, DELAY AND BLOCK.
Any and every ploy to abuse the legal system is employed to drag it out for YEARS.

The cult was successful in BLOCK and DELAY on the Laura DeCrescenzo for 9 YEARS although it was a pretty straightforward case of enforced abortion and child abuse.

It was not a convoluted law suit entangled in various other scenarios. Complicated homicide cases are over in a fraction of the time.

The tactic is to WEAR the opponent down with frivolous and ridiculous motions that have to wait their turn in the clogged legal system to be heard,

1) First they want the Judge removed.

2) TIME goes by to assign another Judge

3) Then they try every trick in the book to say wrong Jurisdiction (Think Marty Rathbun filing by Ray Jeffrey.)

4)Then they claim the Lawyer (s) are not qualified to due some family connection or litigation connection (conflict of interest)

I have read that every single TOP NOTCH law firm in the Tampa/St Petersburg/Clearwater area have been hired by the cult for some minor issue, so that if anyone ever tried to hire a top notch law firm in these areas, they cannot hire them due to conflict of interest.

5) Other stalling is arguing and debating handing over certain documents and filing further frivolous motions.

6) Other motions are to get certain parties deleted from the charges and especially David Miscavige using the "Apex" defense.

All this prevents the ACTUAL law suit moving forward by BLOCK and DELAY

Scientology Inc is viewed as the scoundrel and rogue that it is in legal arenas. This is how Judges, who have heard testimony week after week, months or month, several hours a day have said :
