FOR THOSE WHO PREFER REALITY: The gargantuan pink building featured in the above promo piece on Kansas City IDEAL ORG is not an Ideal Org and has nothing to do with Scientology. Here it is again. . .
That is the UNION STATION, an urban centerpiece that "features exhibits, movies, restaurants, and a science center in a historic train station". And no. No, it's not pink.
But Scientology would really, really like you to think that it's somehow a mega-win for Maitreya's & Miscavige's merry messianic money ministers.
So, why is it pink, right?
ANSWER: Because the entire Kansas City skyline was (previously) lit up pink for BREAST CANCER awareness month.
I have some inside skinny for you.
The Los Angeles Scientology complex's awful NEON BLUE color was one of about 8-10 very LOUD, bright, vibrant colors that were personally chosen by L Ron Hubbard.
It was not a mistake. It was not that the sample was too small. In fact, of the 8-10 colors (which were surveyed, these were all the choices people had), that blue was the LEAST offensive color.
Yes, L Ron wanted the Cedars Sinai building, with all its graphics (there were supposed to be all sorts of graphics on the outside, too, but it never happened because of cost or whatever) to look like ONE HUGE ACID TRIP with the blue in the background of the graphics. It was WHAT HE WANTED.
Later, when others wondered at the insanity of the choices Elron made, he came out with "LSD - Years After..." policy to have others to blame.
He thought it was very, you know - avant garde. to have a CHURCH that was a hospital complex spanning nearly two square blocks to look like you were trying to cover up some incredibly ugly industrial complex.
In fact, his favorite book on the subject that was used for the complex renovations was 1970s industrial painting graphics and colors.
How's that for STUPID?! And people thought the man was a genius?
