The Nation of Islam Supreme Technology Workshop presents "Dianetics in the Quran."

In the language of the NOI, Supreme Technology refers to Scientology and Dianetics. The Supreme Technology is an adjunct to The Supreme Wisdom set forth in the book of the same name by The Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

I think the NOI keeps its own clear number count. Over a year ago I recall seeing some NOI being recognized as clear #19, I guess being officially certified as such by the cherch. Maybe the Workshop will speed up production.

Back in the day there was a book sold in the COS bookstore titled "Scientology and the Bible".

Yes, the NOI keeps their own Clear number count. As I also recall, they are at number 19 -- but that happened only recently IIRC. Perhaps they lost count?

Probably like all beginning scientologists the NOI believe they're gaining worthwhile knowledge from reading books and studying charts and scales and so on.

A few years ago a wiki article about the NOI had the NOI claiming they were doing thousands of hours of Book One auditing but I think the article has been edited and that was omitted since the claim was from the NOI itself. I'll check it out again later.

ETA: The wiki article has been edited and now just gives a passing mention of Farrakhan praising Hubbard and encouraging members to get scn auditing. Maybe the NOI decided the less public mention of their involvement with scn the better.

I guess it will be the companion course to this old booklet.

thanks, that's very interesting, here's what i found about it:

On an Anomalous Piece of Scientology Ephemera: The Booklet Scientology and the Bible
Abstract The article scrutinises the booklet Scientology and the Bible (1967), reconstructing the historical circumstances of its publ
A relatively unexplored subfield in this regard is Scientology’s publications co-authored with Hubbard or even produced by some Scientologists other than the founder, which currently have second-class status and are less prominent, if non-existent, in many churches, since Hubbard’s writings are central and it is claimed that they are conserved and transmitted without change or variation. An especially intriguing case is the booklet Scientology and the Bible, which dates from 1967. This small publication appeared during a particularly problematic time for Scientology and is credited to seven authors or compilers, one of whom is reported to have died in the year prior to its publication.
The title is repeated on the second page, where there is also an interesting subtitle that defines the pamphlet: ‘A manifest paralleling the discoveries of Scientology by L. Ron Hubbard with the Holy Scriptures’. This page also reports that it was compiled by Catherine Biggs, Colin Chalmers, Margaret Chalmers, Doreen Elton, Gladys Goodyer, Catherine Steele, and Dorothy Penberthy, and that the booklet was published by the Department of Publications World Wide.

Here's the brief reference to Dianetics and Scientology in the current Nation of Islam wiki article:

Farrakhan announced his embrace of Dianetics and has actively encouraged NOI members to undergo auditing from the Church of Scientology.[353][354] Farrakhan praised L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Dianetics and Scientology, stating that his ideas were "exceedingly valuable to every Caucasian person on this Earth".[353][354][355][356] NOI Sister Charlene Muhammad received the "Dianetics Auditor of the Year" Award 2018.[357]
.............................................................................................

"exceedingly valuable to every Caucasian person on this Earth" . . . . . WHAT!!?? LOL

In the earlier NOI wiki article it gave an expanded description of Louie promoting Dianetics and Hubbard to the flock at the annual 2010 Saviours' Day convention.

While checking how to spell Saviours I came across this in the wiki article on Saviours' Day:

"Since 2010, it has included a Dianetics Auditor graduation ceremony, overseen by officials from both the Nation and also the Church of Scientology. Under Farrakhan, Dianetics has been advocated publicly since 2010, and it has been embraced by his followers, over a thousand of whom are now trained in Dianetics auditing.[6]"

ETA: The #6 footnote after the quote is a reference to a 2013 article in the "Final Call" newspaper, a Nation of Islam publication.

It seems there is a history rewrite going on with somebody editing the wiki NOI article. As speculation, maybe The Nation has decided to promote itself as itself rather than The Nation/Scientology.

It's been mentioned often but worth repeating that NOI members continue to insist they are Muslims and are just "using" Scientology.

In the new NOI/Scn syncretism (blend) OTs might be called OMs, Operating Muslims. 🙄
