EXCERPT from blog:
Yesterday the Trump administration released data about thousands of companies that received loans of $150,000 or more that were intended to help “small businesses” get through the coronavirus health crisis.

Multi-billion-dollar international religious organizations don’t appear to fit that description. But among the recipients of loans in the Paycheck Protection Program we found three Scientology churches and two Narconon centers, as well as Scientology’s most unhinged front group, Citizens Commission for Human Rights, which agitates against the mental health field.

Other players in the world of celebrity and influence who took advantage of loans under the Paycheck Protection Program, or PPP, to help struggling small businesses hurt by coronavirus shutdowns included Kanye West's $3 billion clothing and sneaker company, multimillionaire pop artist Jeff Koons and the Church of Scientology, which is reported to be worth at least $1 billion.

[SNIP]

The Church of Scientology, whose founder, L. Ron Hubbard, made it a stated goal to recruit celebrities and which claims several household-name actors among its members, had several entities take PPP loans.

According to the SBA data, the Church of Scientology New York; the mission of Belleair in Largo, Florida; and the founding Church of Scientology of Washington, D.C., each took loans for up to $350,000, supporting a total of 137 jobs. Nearly 100 of those were in New York, while almost 40 were in the Belleair facility. The D.C. organization self-reported zero jobs retained.

Another unlikely recipient of money intended to save small businesses across America? The Church of Scientology. Three Church of Scientology locations in New York, Washington D.C., and Florida were cleared to receive loans between $150,000 and $350,000 each. This, despite the Church of Scientology being worth more than $1.2 billion dollars. (As of 2014)

He-man

So the loan is given in part... to pay salaries for staff....

Ok...

If that's done, they don't have to reimburse the federal government?

Hopefully this will be one of those times when Scientology does what it does best and applies yet another bullet through foot.

Well, they will flunk when they report the wages they don’t pay staff.
my guess, Scientology will use the money to pay Miscavige and his minions; the sleazy attorneys and private investigators that Keep Scientology Working.
