Just another unimportant staff anecdote

While this story is so trivial, it does share what it was like to be on staff at a Class IV Org in the 1970's, explicitly - San Diego.

I was working on Christmas cards last night when this incident popped into my mind.

We, as staff had to always have our post stats in an upward trend. On top of that we also had letters out as a stat. Well hell, doesn't my Christmas cards going out count as letters out? That was my thinking back then. Of course it didn't fly; I got caught and had to pay for the postage out of my staff pay (which usually was just a bit above nothing).

Aw, the good old days!
