False flag operations and fake personas

This came up when I was reading the "reject buttons" thread of Panda Termint.

The "Reject Buttons List" was (as far as I remember) a list of things to say (and assert annoyingly) whilst "pretending to be a critic of scientology". They were hyperbolic words such as "biggest, baddest, meanest, worstest (lol)" etc words that painted the speaker/writer as hysterical and prone to exaggeration, the purpose of using them was to make the listener/reader reject the rest of what was said in "criticism of scientology" and (hopefully) make them reject other instances of the same/similar criticism of Hubbard and/or scientology. You might have noticed plenty of that sort of thing on ESMB (if you were looking for it) over the last few months.
The reject buttons are an example of a false flag op.

Let me list the false flag personas that I can recall (I'll use my own names for them):
  • The Fool. This is a persona that will be stupid, obnoxious, over-the-top, use reject buttons etc. The purpose of this persona is to draw ire, contempt, anger and disbelief. This persona will then openly "support" a real critic, especially in contentious matters. So for example if say Chris Shelton will say something controversial, "the fool" would instantly jump to support Chris's opinion. Thus giving an impression of: "If the fool supports Chris, then Chris must be wrong". Real life examples would be the KKK supporting any political candidates. Its the "kiss of death" tactic.
  • The divider. This persona will post controversial topics, trying to draw real critics in and then play them against one another. This is the Hubbardian "3rd party" tactic. An example would be posting very controversial things about Hubbard and the tech with the aim of dividing "independent scientologists" from "atheistic critics". Or he can post things unrelated to scientology - for example post controversial political issues to have critics argue with one another over US politics. The more divided the critic community is, the easier it is to deal with. Also, critics busy arguing with one another are not criticizing the church. Its designed to draw resources and distract.
  • The white elephant herder. A persona designed to draw confidence, sympathy and trust. This persona will then advocate certain ideas or projects (the "white elephant") that on first glance seem like real good ways to strike at the cult, but in reality are harmless. They will nevertheless draw the money, attention, time and effort of critics. The more real critics that pick up this project, the better for the cult. I have a suspicion the "Where is Shelly / Free Shelly" issue might be a white elephant.
  • The aggressor. The persona is there to incite critics to do illegal or generally frowned-upon things ostensibly against the church. This way the church will then "expose" the "nefarious" actions of critics, or win lawsuits and get people in jail or get them to pay fines. I suspect the anonymous members who were convicted for a DDOS attack on the church fell victim to this false flag op. The goal is of course black PR and exposing people to lawsuits and the justice system.
  • The obvious target. A persona that behaves openly in ways that look like an OSA agent would. So real critics would say: "Ah-ha! That guys is OSA" and focus on this one, distracting them from the less obvious OSA personas. It can create a false sense of self-confidence: "We know how OSA works and can easily spot their lame attempts at infiltration".
  • The inquisitor. Like the white elephant herder, this persona is constructed in a way to earn people's trust (through knowledge, friendliness, humor etc), but will at some point be used to "expose" real critics as OSA agents. This sows division, discontent, confusion and paranoia among real critics. This is probably the most dangerous false flag persona, if used skilfully.
  • All of the above can be used to feed disinformation and add to the chaos, mess, division and mayhem in the critic community.

Lol, if that puerile tosh is the best they can come up with I suppose I should feel sorry for them ... because it clearly doesn't work.

:D

If there are any OSA goons here ... good! They may learn something and perhaps start to grow up and stop pretending they are in a (zero budget) 007 movie, maybe even get a real job and contribute something worthwhile to society ... or not. They could just continue to throw away their lives in the repressive and authoritarian cofs if that's all they feel they're worth.

A lot of this can be very puerile and dumb. BUT if they can get someone act as one of these personages who is a long time trusted member of the community, it can really do some damage.

It will not necessarily be a fake online identity of the sorts that stinking Billy would do back in the day. With the amount of "silent exists" from the CoS, one of these personages can be someone who you talk with on the phone, do webex video meetings with and someone you knew from Flag or Saint Hill or whatever other place.

This not even remotely the first rodeo for most of the members here. Tory "Magoo" Christman briefed the ex-Co$ community on the OSA INT Internet Investigations Unit two decades ago. Nothing in your post is new information.

By the way, to the best of my information, the OSA INT Internet Investigations Unit was instituted by Mike Rinder when he was CO OSA INT. He has chosen to publicly deny any knowledge of that unit's activities against the Co$ enemies who were targeted and who they were (and are).

He claims that - despite the fact that he was the top guy at OSA INT at the time - he didn't know anything due to information compartmentalization. Imagine 'M' from the James Bond series not knowing anything about what operations Bond was carrying out and whom he was instructed to eliminate.

I'm not buying this. AFAICT, Rinder is withholding that information from us because it might seriously damage his current PR activities.

He has disclosed much about OSA's thuggish activity, more than anyone else has ever disclosed.

What is it specifically that you believe he has 'publicly denied' and how do you know about it (assuming there is a specific) in the first place?

Would you have preferred it if he had crept off into a corner somewhere and said and done nothing at all as he attempted to build a life after he escaped the cult?

Or perhaps he doesn't want to put himself at risk of prosecution or lawsuit over being held responsible for OSA activities. I can understand that.

To make that kind of accusation, you need to include links and real proof. Posts the links and docs or nobody will just blindly accept your representations.

That's interesting that you like to imagine how Mike Rinder's real life has something to do with a fictional character ("James Bond") in fictional movie. It's also interesting that you want others to have similar imaginations to your own. No thanks.

I am very curious where you got that information. You have not answered ANY questions I have asked you for many years. Are you only here to lecture & scold? Let's see if you can confront and answer simple questions:

- - - Did you discuss what Rinder knows about OSA and what he
doesn't know with Marty Rathbun?
- - - You have been a huge supporter/defender of Rathbun, are you still in communication with him?
- - - You have consistently represented yourself (ref: your signature line) as an "Independent Scientologist". Is Marty Rathbun still an indie Scientologist?
- - - Do you still support Marty Rathbun even after those videos he produced?

The relevant Statutes of Limitation have run out long ago. That was shown when Mark Rathbun tried to reopen the Lisa McPherson criminal case by revealing that he (Rathbun) ordered the last three pages of the "baby watch" logs destroyed. The Pinellas Country prosecutor declined to reopen the case, but also stated publicly that the statute had run out on any charges he might have brought against Rathbun.

On the other hand, it could well be that you are right and certain civil charges might have their limitation for filing tolled (reset) because the victim had not yet found out and so could not sue.

I am not a lawyer, of course.

The Sneakster is unlikely to ever again make the mistake of attempting to answer any question addressed to me from yourself. That has never yet got me anywhere with you, since you just spin any reply into something negative. Your fan club approves of this, of course.

If there were a way to put you on ignore in this software, I would have done so long ago.

But but but ... you're a computer expert Sneaks!

Hit the persons pic/avatar and you will see the ignore button.

Simples.

PS Could you answer my questions please?

@HelluvaHoax! more than a few people have put you on "ignore" or
have recently threatened it. I'm mailing you my classic 1950 collector's
edition -- same year as DMSMH -- of a book that may help you with that.

Why didn't you send me that original publication decades ago!?!

I read a later draft but it didn't work out ("How to win Terminals and influence Homo Novus").

She and Sheila are going to put us all in our places so I guess the com ev is coming w/o evidence. You've been accused of being at fault for the hearsay in their heads, I've heard no one threaten to put you on ignore and I doubt the brooding tag team has either. Speaking of ignore...not you.

No problem, because I can understand how my questions would be virtually impossible to answer. You're probably right to disconnect, because when someone asks questions that call for facts, it's likely some kind psych trick or MEST trap that OTs should avoid.

One day all this communication breakdown business is going to hopefully get handled when someone develops translation software--- so that downtone negative DBs living on a slave planet (i.e. me) can send com particles up lines to uptone upstat beings in the theta universe.

Hopefully by now, you've figured out how to put me on permanent IGNORE so you don't get enturbulated by facts.

HELPFUL TIP: There is no fan club. I am just one of the posters on a website. You apparently did not like that actual fact--so you simply "rose above" reality and imagined your own fact. You may want to check with your indie auditor and indie C/S to see if they may have badly overrun you on Ron's creative processing.

Just out of curiosity, I decided to look at the original ESMB and get an approximate amount of time that Sneakster has been valiantly REFUSING to answer questions I asked him.

I think I found the basic-basic, LOL.

2012. I asked Sneakster about his post on Marty Rathbun's website where he STATED that the only reason he went on the ESMB website was to "HANDLE" ESMB members on their "OVER-RESTIMULATION FROM OSA SOCK-PUPPETS".

He said that.

He refused to answer questions about it. Others asked him a lot of questions as well, since he was regularly scolding, shaming and delivering sermons---but unwilling to respond when someone questioned where his wild assertions were coming from.

I would hope (sincerely) that Sneakster is working his way thru the mindf*ck that is Scientology. But, based on his identical behavior today (making accusations and then dodging questions) it is exactly the same.

If he wishes to engage in an actual DISCUSSION (since this is a discussion board) I am good to go.

I just have grown tired of watching him play secret agent ("JAMES BOND!") where he is here on a secret mission to handle other non Scientologists and non-Indie Scientologists. . . . . .
