Another unfortunate coincidence for the COS, where their most incredibly Ideal, on-policy, in-ethics, on-source, up-tone, up-stat, super-standard philanthropists turn out to be cringey, creepy, criminal cult crooks.

Just like L. Ron Hubbard, David Miscavige, Reid Slatkin, and so many other "flourishing and prospering" OTs who have "risen above" the group bank agreements (called laws).

Maybe it's "social distancing", or more likely since

Sales attempts I suppose.....I didn't open them.

I always wondered what Scientologists sitting in the event audience thought when they would see the massive bowling trophies being given away to the real OTs (who donated real MEST millions).

In particular, that trophy (above) is very problematic. . .

Sometimes when corporations get a bad public image they go for a name shift. ABC Clams? Smiley face clams clackety clacking would be attention getting. Needs to go to the advertising department.

I recall when I first got involved with dianetics/scientology back in 1986. They said I got a free membership to the IAS, which entitled me to a something like 10% discount on services. The lawyers at the time, set it up quite well. Of course I joined you might say, why not get a discount.

Little did I know at the time, the IAS regs would be on my ass to reg me for money without any services being offered, just pure donation to the rhetoric of being "A Scientologists", and "helping mankind" thru the perpetuation of scientology, or the IAS.

What a useful idiot I was, LOL

Great article, perfectly explains the nature of the deceitful practice ran by the company.

I knew the owners of ABC Mouse were donating to the cult like crazy, but otherwise I thought that ABC Mouse as a product was free from Hubbard's tech and otherwise just another product that sells.

I've seen some of those "you are fooled into subscribing for a free period and then you can't unsubscribe once it goes paid" companies here in the east. It is a disgusting, abusive practice.

If this was a financial market product rather than just ABC Mouse, these people would fall under UDAAP legislation and would not get out so easily with a mere 10 grand in fines. I wish all services in America would be subject to the same sort of legislation as the financial sector is.

Heck, if UDAAP and Dodd-Frank style legislation applied to Scientology, the church would have to close down the very next day.
