Aw, thanks. Re: gumball warning::omg: :hide: It seems that hair color was very important to Hubbard, but I hadn't really focused on the hair color of Flavia/Empress until we started talking about the angel. Hubbard made his own red hair famous, including in Hymn of Asia, as Hugh Urban points...

Here are a couple of quotes from a couple of lectures where Hubbard suggested black cowls for the Scientology uniform: SELF-DETERMINED EFFORT PROCESSING A lecture given on 1 October 1951 A New Evaluation of Importances One of the most interesting things that we have run into at times is the...

Here are the Have You Lived Before This Life covers I was able to find on Abebooks: 1958 1968 1977 Note: Gerry says this was very possibly Arthur Hubbard's artwork: 1990

Hubbard wrote quite a bit of material on PR and Marketing in the late 60's, early 70's. It must have been an intense period at Pubs Org. I recall accepting the display of these "whole track" images in a similar way. I understood they were carefully constructed to restimulate the reactive minds...

I asked Gerry about this. Arthur was born in 1958. In 1971, he was Deputy LRH Vehicles under Des Popham. As far as Gerry knows, Arthur did not become the Deputy LRH artist or LRH artist and start producing "art" for Hubbard until the mid-70s.

Andre Clavel was Gerry's twin on the Clearwater RPF. Gerry says Andre was not the LRH artist in 1971. Gerry thinks that the LRH artist at that time was most likely Richard Gorman, the same person who drew the Colonel Webspread cartoon for the Flag Orders of the Day in the early 1970s. Gorman was...

I appreciate your kind encouragement, Veda, and am glad for the interest in this subject. I find it fascinating too. I noticed another bit of strangeness about the depiction of Hubbard/Archangel Michael. His left cheek seems to be bleeding.

In perhaps his most famous letter to Crowley, Parsons says Hubbard [also] called his Guardian Angel "the Empress." From John Symonds' biography of Aleister Crowley, The Beast 666: In the spring of 1945, Parsons met a new aspirant to the Great Work, a young man called Ron Hubbard. Hubbard’s...

I didn't realize Crowley was so clear on the issue of whether the HGA is a separate being. Thanks, Hatshepsut! https://hermetic.com/crowley/magick-without-tears/mwt_42#chapter-xliithis-self-introversion...

Thanks very much for this. As I've mentioned before, there are no higher or more advanced entities or constructs in Hubbard's psychic map for us. The most elevated position is taken by Hubbard as "Source," and his organization as our "Guardian Angel to complete success." It seems to me that in...

I was curious about the female angel on the book cover of 8-8008 and why she seems so upset in the presence of the male angel. (Also, the reddish-blond hair and distinctive mouth makes me wonder to what degree Hubbard identified with Michael, or had his artist do so.) According to a well-known...

    Hubbard and the Babalon Working

Hubbard mentioned the Archangel Michael a number of times in Scientology material. From a 1956 lecture: One of the oldest whole track gags was to take somebody, knock him out, and tell him he had to go over to some other place and do something or other that would louse up the enemy in some...

Archangel Michael is my guess for the male figure on the covers of 8-80 and 8-8008. (I'm not a religious expert.) A primer: Meet Archangel Michael, Leader of All Angels Archangel Michael's Roles and Symbols Archangel Michael is God's top angel, leading all of the angels in heaven. He is also...

I wasn't high up on the food chain. Jane Kember's answer to my petition was part of her hat as Guardian WW. There's a story in there, but it isn't really relevant to this discussion. Thanks for the comment about the male figure. I had similar questions, and I think it's worth looking into...

Yes, it was the same Jane Kember. Her June 6, 1979 letter to me was an answer to a petition. The letterhead was apparently standard for the Church of Scientology Worldwide at the time, but I don't know who else besides the Guardian WW used it. I've seen other letters from the Guardian with the...

Thanks for transcribing that part of the video, Hatshepsut. There is no parallel in Scientology literature about dissolving the boundary between ego and non-ego. "Ego" and "Non-ego" don't appear in the Tech Dictionary. Here's Hubbard on the "ego": Once one really understands that mental image...

From the above video: ~2:00 Crowley interpreted the Law to mean that every individual is intrinsically divine, and as such each individual has a divine right to pursue their own personal path through life. For Crowley, the point of life is for each person to discover and fulfill their unique...

So funny! The other day after Hatshepsut's comment about Hubbard's drug abuse, a History Channel documentary came on about Hitler and his extensive drug use. (History Channel). Hitler's behavior in the "subtitled" film above reminded me of stories of Hubbard's psychotic outbursts, and what he...
