EXCERPT from blog:
We know that the Danny Masterson affair is a complex one, and we’re doing our best to keep you up on all of its complex details.

Masterson, a Scientologist, is facing 45 years to life in prison for raping three women who were Scientologists at the time they were attacked but they aren’t Scientologists today. All three of the women are also suing Masterson in civil court along with two other people, one of whom was a Scientologist and one who wasn’t. Those five plaintiffs are also suing the Church of Scientology and its leader David Miscavige, but Miscavige is still evading service of the lawsuit more than a year after it was filed.

I checked into Reddit last night and looked at the Danny Masterson threads....

Anyway....from this latest Court Appearance....a very long thread with lots of negative comments.

What was kinda interesting....there were several posts that stated that Masterson had his mask on upside down. These comments stated the make and type of mask he was wearing.....and that is was upside down. There were numerous posts about it....

See my comment below the comments I copied from Tony's blog:

From Tony's story:
"Let us hazard a translation of what Mueller told Danny Masterson in yesterday’s hearing.

“Danny, after you enter your not guilty plea and we move on to a preliminary hearing, I only have to prove that we have evidence that you raped two or more women. And that’s all. But after we get past that prelim, then we can start adding aggravating factors, factors that you know we know about, like brandishing a firearm, drugging women, and kidnapping in concert with your best pal at the party. And when we do, you’re going to wish you were only facing 45 years to life.”

And why would Mueller want to send such a message at this point? Let’s keep in mind that it’s at this stage, after the arraignment on November 2 and before the preliminary hearing, that the DA would raise the possibility of a deal, perhaps something in the 15 to 20 years range. And if Danny doesn’t take it, then the aggravating factors come on, and Masterson will be looking at some really serious time as the case moves to an actual trial." Tony O.

So the prosecution is signalling that Danny should negociate a deal, plead guilty and take 20 years. If he doesn't he's up for 45.
My intuition is that Danny's sense of entitlement won't allow him to do that, and he will go for broke, but we shall have to wait and see.

It's all a nightmare from here for both DMs, if it heads to trial. They can spin the PR for their base, but not for the general public, assuming the media eventually finds this case interesting. C of Scientology is a major player in the civil case, obviously, but will it come in during the criminal prosecution? Just the mention of it could be devastating with a jury seated, I'd think.
I look forward to seeing LRH's "attack, never defend" strategy at work in and out of the courtroom in the 21st century. In my (not-particularly-qualified) opinion, Miscavige's only hope to divert another total catastrophe on a "Going Clear"/"Mike and Leah" scale is to have the prosecution of Masterson somehow piffle out without dragging in CofS, and in such a way that the civil case, which surely WILL drag in CofS, is also undermined. And I'll never underestimate whatever rabbit's foot CofS seems to have had.

My guess - Danny gets thrown under the bus by the church.

A plea deal might become extremely attractive before it's too late. Because a rapist celebrity white boy in prison could very soon learn how karma works.

He might consider making a plea deal for a lesser sentence if they stipulate that he can do his time in protective custody rather than in general population.

That's gotta be his worst nightmare, being gang raped. Wait, is that karma happening?

Possible he could pull a Roman Polanski?
Roman is a European which makes it more difficult to extradite him to the US, where as with Danny... It might be easier to recover an errant citizen. He could stay at the Moscow airport - I hear that's popular.
