You obviously don't know Heather or you wouldn't say that.
soft muscled obese woman. now i understand that scn staff members can feel pain, especially when they have been weakened by years of poor nutrition and no exercise. but i also see today, on a regular basis, men and women moving hundreds of pounds of weights with barely any effort. an angry unintentional backhanded slap, would end the life of the common scn staff member, or OT public, including the child miscavige. it's just physics.

You presume she always looked like that. Were you ever in Scientology or did you just read up on the "Hole" from various authors who were in the SO at Int base? She had, I believe three other sisters and she was the shortest. Not all staff were, or are, as you describe. Many had jobs outside of Scientology while being on staff. Class 5 org staff was very different from the SO. Miscavige worked out all the time, or used to.

Most stories on the internet are SO stories as they received the most abuse because they were far from home and had little money. Class 5 usually didn't live that far from the org but didn't live at the org and could more easily leave whenever they wanted to. Blowing class 5 orgs happened far more often than in the SO and they usually didn't receive as much abuse before they decided to leave. Much easier to blow a Class 5 than an SO org. Class 5's usually didn't have the manpower or resources to chase you down as they were too busy complying with stats. Easier to get newbies than recover blown staff.

Any of you guys know Erik Bayersdorfer?
You know Erik? I used to work with him. We didn't get along. He was always on a power trip but I don't think he held a high post for very long. he was reno's I/C for a time.

I do know him. I worked with him after he left Boston. Scientology tends to make an asshole out of someone that has that potential, if you know what I mean. I think he has his own consulting biz in CW now. I wonder how that is going???

I think EB&A stands for Erik Bayersdorfer and Abbi, his wife. Improved conditions. Kool-aid.

Erik always seemed like an ok guy to me. But I never worked closely with him. As I recall he was one of those people who were deemed and "illegal pc" and then deemed ok and was on staff and then became illegal again... or something along those lines.
That kind of thing happened so often. If you had a bunch of money and wanted auditing, or they needed someone on staff bad enough and you were willing, there was always someone willing to reinterpret the policies and take your money or sign you up. Then a few years later someone else would re-reinterpret them and you were illegal again. (Didn't happen to me, but saw it over and over.)

They tried that with me, you know that.

No, she will never leave. Some of the best in the business tried to get her to leave and she wouldn't.

Were you there the time she slapped me in the face as hard as she could during a "Hello Drill"? She is very lucky she is a woman.
I was raised to never hit a lady.

A woman who initiates physical violence loses her status of "lady" with me.

Hey, women want to be treated "equal" to men....

Recently I happen to go by the future Boston Ideal Morgue and it's as deserted and vacant as it has been for years.
Google Maps image of empty parking lot.

BTW, I also noticed that Heather Landry is no longer listed as working at the Boston Org: Facebook
Anyone have news?

Interesting. I'm not on FB so I can't see the page, but very curious. I know her husband, Lonnie, former LRH Comm left years ago to pursue his photography career. I always find it ironic that pretty much every single person who gave me shit and called me suppressive for trying to leave staff is no longer on staff. :)

Interesting that until recently both Heather Landry's and Elaine Merkel's Facebook pages stated their current work was with the "Church of Scientology of Boston" but that is no longer the case. My assumption is that they are still on staff but for some reason (being told by superiors?) that they removed this status. Is this the Facebook equivalent of boarding up orgs? See Tony Ortega's post about boarded up orgs.

The boarding up may not be due to closing, but protecting property. There will be some rioting expected in the next two weeks.

It will probably be put down fast, but still.

I looked over the photos of their 50th anniversary. Scary as shit seeing how aged those folks are.

Still, it appeared to be a happy event. How one can survive the cognitive dissonance of the greatest gift to mankind shrinking to an invisible organization is no small feat. Then again, the event had all the qualities of a 50th year reunion.

The vital energy was gone yet the enthusiasm was there.

It was all about fundraising. Those folks have been hit up over and over and over and over for more, more, more, more and more.

Glad you're here...give me your money.

A side question:
I worked with a guy on work study at the Manor in the mid 80's from Boston, his name was Allen.
Does anyone know of an Allen during that time frame?

There was actually 2 Allen's - one from Peroria Ill. I think the latter is known as Alanzo online. He looks like the guy but older and his back story is almost dead on the Allen I knew.

Anyway, I'm more interested in Boston Allen. He had an exec post perhaps OES??? (Org Exec Sec) went from Clear to OT5 during that time. Very personal able guy as I knew him.
Just curious is all. It was a time in my life that was very interesting. There was a lot going on with Wollershien (spelling) at PAC, the Manor ect.

I have a whole different perspective now for sure!

These people (like so many others inside and outside cults) continue to toil, building the walls of their prison, thinking the walls and chains will set them free.

It is a wasted life.

Pretty sure that was an old event. On one of the last pages on the website there's some copyright info:
"Copyright 2015-2017 by Church of Scientology of Boston. All Rights Reserved."
Looks like there might be nothing new there in the past 4 years.
I was told, and I read the Birthday Game issue where Boston was a big deal at one time and the staff were knife wielding scream-in-the-facers.
But the whole time I was there they were always in emergency except for about four weeks one time. But as usual, Boston cannibalized itself and a brief period of affluence was destroyed by reposting some people to posts they never should have had because they thought that was a good idea.

Despite the fact that it totally violated the affluence formula, the correct formula is in Dianetics Today and is called Action Affluence they plunged headlong into Heavy Ethics where posts really got changed. Head on a pike was in fashion and I was the only one who wasn't in lowers, so they all came to me to get out. So I would read the stupid shit they did, sign it, and send them back to the top.

Boston Scientology failed because it was Scientology. I saw the 70's boom and it was impressive and there were a lot of impressive people. Boston Scientology didn't fail because of misapplied formulae (IMHO). There is no way a Scientology org can survive unless it's endlessly propped up by rich donors and unpaid labor. The cost/income model is a joke. I watched incredibly talented and brilliant and sincere people working amazing hours to produce practically nothing. 100's of thousands of promo pieces amounting to no new recruits and no new business. Massive book campaigns bringing in a handful of people who rarely stayed for a service. I saw super-dedicated and sometimes beautiful body routers spending years on the streets and bringing in almost no new people who would stay. Scientology was and is a colossal failure. Yet, in spite of the preposterous promises and decades of failure, there's a few who hold onto that candle of hope. Humans are pretty amazing.

There are many ways a Scieno-type organization could survive. Scientology's super-human ability is the ability to find a way to blow up anything that's good.
