After he pointed himself out in some promo that was posted he slowed and then stopped posting. It could be he blew his own cover and the church caught on.

They bought the Allston building just over 4 years ago. They're still in Quincy. It looks like they do have an occasional event in the Allston location. There's a presentation here: Boston Ideal Org that shows the plans. 32 auditing rooms, an academy that holds 262 students, plus a 149-seat public courseroom, 48-person Purif area. So exciting. And all serviced by the probably fewer than 20 staff members.

@Operating Wog thanks for posting the link to the Boston Ideal Org website. When you go to the link for the plans of the new Ideal Org, which is 72 pages, the first 37 pages are just pretty pictures of Boston with all sort of stats about the city and region. Not until page 38 is there the first mention of the Idle Org building and the rendering of it is way better than what it actually looks like. Even though there's all this verbiage about how close it is to this, that, and the other location, in fact is logistically not easy to get to from any of these.

Mostly old people in photos on the fundraising and event pages. Looks like Elaine Merkel is back on staff (from seeing her Facebook page). If you go to the Sitemap link you'll see it still lists the Alexadra, site of the former, almost Idle Org site.

Just checked in on that Ideal Org site again. Looks like they recently had a 50th Anniversary Fund Raiser Event.

The web site looks like it was made in 1994. The anniversary page is a slide show that you can't control. You just have to sit through it. Goddamn, people got old (I've been out for nearly 20 years). A lot of people I didn't recognize at first. Then again, Joe Nuccio and Rich Girard don't look a bit different than they did 30 years ago. Heather shocked me. I remember when I first met her in 1984 when she returned from Flag and took over the ED role from Tom Ford in her mid 20s.

The images are at https://www.idealorgboston.org/images/anniv/anniv1.jpg They are named anniv1.jpg through anniv84.jpg if you want to look at them in more detail.
I came in around the same time as Heather, back around 1979. We were both "HCO expeditors" together, bundling bulk mail and other things to clear the planet.

I'm not sure why she's wearing glasses in this photo. LRH made it clear that it was totally unnecessary. A few hours of standard auditing and she can toss them in the garbage!

I'd love for her to start posting here on the Boston thread some day. I'm sure she's got many great stories! She doesn't look very happy in that picture. I wish she would get out of there and get on with her life.

40 years, most of those as the ED. I highly doubt she's going anywhere. Then again, it must be pretty demoralizing to go from where the org was at even in the mid 80s - dozens of staff in a beautiful 5 story building in the heart of Boston, to a handful of staff renting one floor of a building in Quincy.

I have a lot of conflicting feelings about Heather. Worked very closely with her 7 days a week for 17 years. Our families and kids were close. We shared a lot of laughs together. Often felt like a really good friend to her. But if your stats were down or you screwed up, she had no problem screaming and swearing in your face and applying any penalty. And then after work, we'd just be parents and it was like all was fine. Way too much like Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog:

I've heard similar from another who also worked closely with Heather.

I didn't have much interaction with her when she was ED. Only as I indicated above. Plus in the early years I took a drive up to Toronto with her, Jon DeVries, Cary Goulston, and I believe Janet Francis as well. We spent some time up there while getting trained by some of the Div 6 staff in Toronto to sell books up there, and it was really a fun trip. Then later her and I were on the TTC together for some months in the early 80's back when it was at Miami Org. So I never saw the side of her that you did (thank Xenu!)

It seemed that the tactics she used, the "screaming and swearing in your face" were common (and expected) when your seniors were the Sea Org members at the CLO/FOLO in New York. I had personal experience with this when I was brought up to New York to help out on the "Festive Season Program" back around 1985. I was expected to get a program done in each of the East U.S. Orgs which was designed to prevent the stats from crashing during the December holidays (when staff and public wanted to spend more time with their family and friends).

I am normally a pretty laid back person but during the 2 weeks helping out on this I found myself screaming at people to get this program done. It was what was expected of me in order to get compliance, and I got a commendation for my work on the program from the Cont Commander who knew exactly what I was doing as I was stationed directly outside of his office. Several of the S.O. members there tried to recruit me for the S.O. before I came back to Boston. Looking back at it all now I see it was really out of character for me in how I deal with people as a manager.

Also, people who were mission holders in the EUS and had to deal with Cary Goulston when he was the CO SMI EUS said that he was horrible in that regard. He'd call you up and scream at you for half an hour!

No, she will never leave. Some of the best in the business tried to get her to leave and she wouldn't.

Were you there the time she slapped me in the face as hard as she could during a "Hello Drill"? She is very lucky she is a woman.
