There is going to be a lot of news about the current civil cases against scientology, so here's the first thread! Grab your popcorn.

Underground Bunker article - Valerie Haney drops ‘Jane Doe’ label in brutal amended complaint against Scientology
And now, Valerie has made it official that she’s the plaintiff, dropping the “Jane Doe” label in an amended complaint her attorneys filed yesterday at Los Angeles Superior Court which alleges a host of causes of action: Intentional misrepresentation, concealment, false promise, false imprisonment, kidnapping, stalking, libel, slander, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and labor violations.

We have the complete document for you below, and we want your thoughts not only about the allegations she makes but also how this might translate into litigation — including the possibilities that David Miscavige and his wife Shelly might be forced to sit for depositions, and how the church might fight back.

I believe that we're about to enter the Golden Age of Justice, and I doubt there's a sufficient supply of popcorn available in this sector of the universe.

Even somebody in prison would be treated very harshly by his fellow prisoners if they knew he had previously treated children in the way that
Jane Doe Valerie Haney had been treated back when she was about 10 years old.

As we've seen, civil lawsuits against this 3 billion dollar cult can take a long time to play out due to the tactics used by Co$. But these law firms involved in these new cases are completely aware of what they're going up against, are taking these cases on a contingency basis, and are willing and able to do what's necessary to prevail, and I'm confident they will.

Some in the past have claimed that civil lawsuits have no value in bringing down the CoS. That's false for a number of reasons. For one, they can produce evidence that governments can later use for criminal prosecution should they choose to act. Also though, check out this post from Jeffrey Augustine's blog The Scientology Money Project:

A summons has been issued in the Valerie Haney lawsuit, giving notice to the defendants — Church of Scientology International, Religious Technology Center, and David Miscavige — that they have 30 days after being served papers to respond to the court in writing.

So now it’s a matter of a copy of this getting into Dave’s hands, and we can’t wait to hear he’s been served.

And this, with just days to go before Dave’s next personal appearance, Friday and Saturday nights at the big tent at Saint Hill in East Grinstead, England, for the IAS anniversary spectacular!

You can bet Dave’s head is going to be on a swivel!

Civil awards produce organizational pain. They extract money that cannot be used for other purposes.

Also, Scientology cannot seem to resist trying to put money outside the reach of civil judgements, shuffling assets around in a financial shell game. They will eventually face a judge who will impose criminal penalties for those games.

Below the main article is this great piece of news.
Duck, Dave, they’re coming at you from Miami!
We told you that a summons had been issued in Lawsuit #1 (Plaintiff: Valerie Haney) from the Brian Kent-Marci Hamilton team in Los Angeles, and process servers would be out looking to shove a fistful of documents into the hand of Scientology leader David Miscavige. And now, a summons has been issued in Lawsuit #3 (Jane Doe/Miami), and Dave has even more reason to be looking over his shoulder…

Radar Online picked out bits from the revised lawsuit to paint a devastating picture of how Scientology abuses children!

I'll copy/paste an Excerpt below, but the whole article is worth reading (and sharing widely!) This is the type of reporting that the NY Times, Los Angeles Times, and other leading mainstream media outlets should be doing.

Excerpt:

The woman behind the bombshell lawsuit against the Church of Scientology and David Miscavige is outspoken ex-member Valerie Haney. In an amended complaint obtained by RadarOnline.com, Haney not only exposed her true identity, but also made disturbing child trafficking allegations.

In the first amended complaint filed on September 30, 2019, “Jane Doe” was removed from Plaintiff to reveal Haney’s identity. She is now suing for intentional misrepresentation, concealment, false promise, kidnapping, stalking, libel, slander, constructive invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

She then alleged more disturbing details on one of the Church of Scientology.s sub organizations, Sea Org.

“The Sea Org, in large part, functions by way of human trafficking, including the trafficking of children,” the filing read. “Defendants engage in the forced labor of adults and children in the Sea Org. Defendants have made billions off the backs of men, women, and children who are trafficked and forced to work 75 to 100 hour weeks for far below the minimum wage with little to no free time or vacation under the treat of severe punishment for failure to perform their work duties.”

DAVID MISCAVIGE, YOU HAVE BEEN SERVED
Yes, proof that David Miscavige, chairman of the board Religious Technology Center, otherwise known as the iron-fisted dictator of the Church of Scientology, has been served in both lawsuits through the process of “substitute service.”
That means process servers left notification that Miscavige is being sued with officials at RTC (as well as the Church of Scientology International), and Miscavige is effectively served, even if he’s not in the country at the moment (which we suspect is the case).

"We have another new document for you as well. Finally the Bixler legal team is pointing out something to the court which we raised in November — that Scientology is trying to snow the court about its proper address for the purpose of service.

Scientology has complained that the process server trying to hand documents to Miscavige and the church went to 6331 Hollywood Blvd., when its proper address is 1710 Ivar Avenue. But Scientology leaves out of its angry filings to the court that these are actually two different entrances to the same building.

In a new document from Thompson, backed up with an affidavit from Valerie Haney who is lending a hand to the Masterson accusers here, that nasty little trick by Scientology is being laid bare."

If you look up 1710 Ivar on the LA County Tax Accessor's web site - nothing comes up. If you look up 6331 Hollywood Blvd. lots comes up. I am surprised they didn't offer up proof that the building is wholly owned by Scientology. That would kill the improper service argument. I think another avenue is to look up if the addresses and see if 1710 Ivar is a legal address.
