Infiltrating Scientology

Actually it's not true to say "Scientologists believe in Xenu". The only scientologists who know about Xenu are those who have reached the level of OT III and that is a very small minority.
I don't know why that datum is so hard for outsiders to grok. It's been explained again and again and again, across the internet, but for some reason it just will not stick.

I don't know. Perhaps it's the overall strangeness of Scientology. You almost have to experience it for yourself to understand how it's all supposed to work.

That is because they have a ton of big crashing MU's! All cleverly designed that way by L Ron Hubbard.

True, but all Scientologists have direct access to "A HISTORY OF MAN" which has plenty of material that is just as crazy-cringey as Xenu.

And all Scientologists have access to the books, which contain megatons of lies and incredibly stupid claims of miraculous OT powers that nobody in Scientology has.

So, whether a Scientologist ever reaches OT III or not, they are literally INUNDATED BY A TSUNAMI OF sci-fi hoaxes.

Yeah, no free passes. We wuz all mega-blind, mega-deaf and mega-DUMB! lol

I'd have written more on this subject, but I have to go practice pulling air covers off planets.

In the late 1970s I attended an intro lecture at the American Saint Hill Organization in LA. I was already a scientologist so maybe attending was part of a course requirement. There were about ten people in the room and the lecturer was explaining the scn idea that the mind is composed of mental pictures. He asked everyone to close their eyes and "picture" a house , real or imagined, and when he said so open our eyes and put the picture somewhere in the room which we did. He correctly identified four or five houses and where they were placed. When I opened my eyes I saw some flashes going by but no clear pictures of houses.

He would have been a good Sunday Service minister but most Scientologists back then thought the religion angle was hokey.

I happen to know that ability is real because I used to do it myself. I'd tell people to concentrate on an image of their choosing, and to put the picture in the upturned palm of my hand. I could actually see their pictures 100% of the time, and would tell them what they were looking at. Most everyone I did this with was pleasantly amazed.

Then one day I did it with a non-Scn gal I was dating, and it blew her mind so hard, she asked me to do it with one of her friends, who'd never had any contact with Scientology, or Scientologists. I did it, correctly identifying what she was looking at, and this woman flipped the f*** out so bad, I decided on the spot to stop demonstrating that ability.

In time, I found it difficult to see others mental image pictures. I'm not sure I can still do it, even if I tried.

Voodoo - Nice! The lecturer didn't say if his ability came naturally or if he had developed it using Scientology. He probably hoped the attendees would assume it came from scientology and would go sign up for a course - lol

If there are conscious entities in the universe who communicate telepathically they probably have protocols to prevent invading each others privacy but that obviously enters the realm of fantasy. Failure to develop any extrasensory or paranormal ability in Scientology might lead someone to a scientific materialism point of view which is fine if they're comfortable in that position. The hope of attaining new abilities was tasty cheese in the mousetrap.

After scientology I had and saw a couple of experiences which could be classified as extrasensory or paranormal so I don't discount all such possibilities. It might be possible that Diantetic and Scientology auditing or other practices "open the mind" to new possibilities which is purely speculation on my part.

It's not that complicated. You simply choose to not see another's pictures, even though you still see them both physically and spiritually. I found it to be pretty instinctual. There was no effort involved in not seeing the other person's pictures - though I could still see other people's pictures. Also, I didn't go around snooping on people's thoughts. I only did it by invitation.

As to how I came into that ability, for me it was the TRs. All sorts of new and unusual perceptions and spirit abilities were awakened in me from doing those drills.

As the years and decades have rolled by, all of those abilities have softened to the point where I'm hardly aware of them any longer, though I'm sure I could wake them up again by drilling the TRs.

If I'd only known that would be my high water mark in Scientology, I would have quit when I was 20 years old.

I watched a few parts of Ep. 2. All of the scientologists are wearing uniforms which is quite unlike the good old days. DM has had over 30 years since Elron departed to push the religion angle and gain compliance. I guess it was to be expected.

Tony Ortega wrote a story about these guys that do the videos:

Excerpt:

Scientology’s ‘Purif’ detox gets the ‘Reckless Ben’ treatment in video debuting here today

Who are these guys? That was one of the reactions we had when we saw the dynamite first two videos put out by a couple of young infiltrators who have brought out some of the most fascinating (and hilarious) undercover video from inside Scientology in a long time.

It turns out they’re “Reckless” Ben Schneider, 24, and his friend Michael Fortner, 23, who both recently moved to Los Angeles from Ohio.

Ben’s a professional slackliner with a YouTube channel that hosts videos of his balancing exploits and also some prankish setups. The channel has a few thousand subscribers, and so far the two Scientology videos they’ve put out have amassed views of a few thousand.

If they’re not exactly going viral, it’s not for a lack of quality. The Sunday Service they filmed secretly at the LA Org in part one is glorious fun. And the way Ben gets Scientology staffers to encourage him to commit a theft in order to pay for his copy of “Dianetics” in part two is truly inspired.

The first thing we asked them, though, was about the date on the videos, which appear to have been shot three years ago.

“The date on the spy glasses is wrong and we didn’t know how to take them off,” Ben said. The videos were actually filmed just a couple of weeks ago.

Ben tells us that he moved out to LA to help Tik Tok recruit other athletes to the video platform, which he gets paid for. And they just happened to end up in a house right by the Big Blue Scientology complex in Los Angeles.

I could only watch 5 minutes of that. It seems to be Steven Mango talking with occasional short comments by Ben and Michael.
