Uh-Huh. The way this story is being presented, Ms. Remini seems entirely uncaring for whatever family and business consequences Ms. Prepon might face in her life, were she to become a vocal activist just to suit Team Aftermath.

Gawker: VOCAL EX-SCIENTOLOGIST LEAH REMINI HATES ON QUIET EX-SCIENTOLOGIST LAURA PREPON

“Do I respect it? I mean, not really.”

Doesn't seem like much.

"Hates on"? Is that slang? Don't see any "hate" here.

Gawker is described as a gossip and bile website. Its bad reputation is reminiscent of some of Scientology Inc.'s sleazier private investigators. Just the sort of operation that Scientology Inc. might bribe or infiltrate.

Is this some innocent colloquial use of the word "hate," or is it a manipulative and malevolent use of the word? Very much in line with Hubbard]s confidential Propaganda tech.

Gossip rags that use trigger words (to incite the thoughtless and impulsive) is not my cup of tea.

Anyway, here's the video:

I didn't get that impression at all. Did you watch the video?

Leah cares about the thousands of victims that have been abused by CoS and she believes that those who contributed to creating that monster (including herself) should take responsibility, use their voice, once they've realized it is not as advertised.

I happen to agree with that view. So many left the CoS, know about the abuses, and stay silent.

The article in the OP says this:

E Online said:
Leah, whose Emmy-winning series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath ran for three seasons, said "not everybody feels that they have a responsibility" to be so vocal about the alleged harm Leah feels the Church has caused.

"Some people, like Laura, feel they don't have a responsibility to speak out," she continued. "Do I respect it? I mean, not really."
These quotes are from the video. Ms. Remini falsely imputed a motivation (an imagined lack of responsibility) for not publicly speaking out against the C of $ which completely ignores the harm David "Darth Midget" will surely inflict upon her, her loved ones, friends and business associates, if she does. All of us ex-Co$ members have responsibilities in Real Life(tm) which, in many cases, may far outweigh the desire to inflict PR damage on David "Darth Midget" Miscavige and his Demented Minions.

By the way, this particular type of Ethics virtue shaming is found throughout the official corporate Scientology world. Maybe Ms. Remini should have left that behind when she quit the C of $.

I don't agree that it is an imagined lack of responsibility. I feel that those who do harm to individuals and/or society by helping a criminal organization such as CoS do have a moral responsibility to speak out.

I'm not going to judge Laura Prepon because I don't know what she's done or not done since leaving, and maybe she will speak out one day but just needs more time. Publicly announcing that she's got nothing more to do with CoS was a step in the right direction.

.

Now that was some rich hypocrisy!

For years you have gone out of your way to virtue signal and attempt to shame Ex Scientologists posting online who don't obey your dictatorial mandate to dox themselves and reveal their personal identity.

Even your signature line has a constant reminder of your chronic scolding of Ex Scientology posters who "don't do enough" by your "ideal" standards (i.e. revealing personal identity). So spare us the sanctimonious sermons against the most viewed, beloved and effective whistleblower in Scientology's 71 history, Leah Remini.

Just in case you demand DOX OR STFU (LOL):

That remains one of the greatest quotes in human history.

Scientology has a very similar quote:

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil cults is for men to sit
3 feet comfortably apart from each other—and do nothing."

Eh, I don't really care that she's not making a strong statement against scientology.

Obviously I'd love if she did more but just saying you're out publicly is good enough for me. I wish more people would do that. I'm sure there's plenty who are out but staying quiet.
